Under the patronage of Her Excellency, Minister of Information and Communication Technology, and Minister of Public Sector Development Majd Shweikeh, Orange Jordan celebrated the closing ceremony of BIG season 5,  graduating six startups which included: Gasable, Techni Cloud, Mujaz, Mrayti, Aumet and Smart Lunchbox. During the event, Orange Jordan’s CEO Jérôme Hénique announced the launch of BIG season 5, in the presence of the program’s steering committee ; Oasis 500, Roya TV, Intaj, iPark, former season graduates and Orange Jordan executives.

Commenting on the event, Hénique said: “Since its launch, the program has witnessed many young entrepreneurs presenting distinctive ideas with beneficial economic and social dimensions.”

 

He added: “This program is considered a great opportunity for all startups as it enables them to benefit from the support, training and guidance provided throughout the seasons, and that is clearly evident through all the successful stories of BIG graduates, where some of them created partnerships with investors, others partnered with Orange Jordan, and some started their own successful business”.

 

He pointed out that since its launch, BIG has had a positive impact on startups in general and on beneficiaries in particular, providing guidance to Jordanian startups who wish to expand into new markets and increase their customer base.

 

On the other hand, Hénique welcomed the new startups of BIG season 5 which include: Users Proof, Mashrou3na, Circle 4 Media, DARB, Saleem Application, and iMoneh, wishing the past season’s graduates great success and assuring, with the confirmation of the steering committee, that the level of applicants to the program is constantly evolving and that choosing between the projects that have been submitted during this season was challenging due to the creative ideas that were presented.

 

Similar to previous seasons, BIG season 5 will last for six months and offer startups full support and assistance in terms of  product design, marketing and strategy plans, telecom and technical support services, accounting, HR and Legal, customer service, media exposure, networking opportunities through participation in local and international events, hosting of their events, as well as offering them a work space at BIG premises.
